Our Business Model
A sustainable, farmer-centric approach addressing supply-demand challenges in Tanzanian agriculture through direct integration, fair contracts, and value addition.
How We Operate
BetaASC’s business model is designed to create a reliable, high-quality supply chain that benefits smallholder farmers and meets market demands. We buy directly from farmers, provide support for better yields, and deliver safe, nutritious products to local and export markets.
By establishing pre-season contracts, offering pre-financing and training, and operating strategic aggregation points, we ensure income stability for farmers while securing premium produce for our operations.
Key Elements of Our Model
Pre-Season Contracts
We sign agreements with farmers and groups (cooperatives, SACCOS, AMCOS) for fair prices and committed quantities, providing income security.
Inputs & Training
Pre-financing for improved seeds, cash advances, and training in climate-resilient, sustainable farming practices to boost productivity.
Village Aggregation Centers (VACs)
Jointly owned hubs for easy collection, reducing transport costs and post-harvest losses from scattered farms.
Processing & Storage
Transport to warehouses for cleaning, primary processing, and safe storage before sale.
